NBA 2K21 next-gen impressions: Coming off the seat
Having tattoos added to NBA 2K MT offline create-a-players has been a big win for roll up creators, but they aren't transferring when draft classes are uploaded. I am not positive whether this is a limitation, or a problem that has to be solved like the shortcomings mentioned above.I'm still having a blast with NBA 2K21, but the experience would be even better with these things improved.
NBA 2K21 next-gen impressions: Coming off the seat
NBA 2K21 was among those handful of games which had a full next-gen enhancement prepared to go on launch day. Adding revamped images, as well as several notable new features, NBA 2K21 really seemed like a substantial upgrade from the last-gen counterpart. The game even has a brand new cover, with Zion Williamson taking the ring up for next-gen. However, updates weren't free unless players bought the 100 Mamba Edition. Otherwise, they'd need to buy the game in full for $70. After spending a considerable amount of time with NBA 2K21 on next-gen it is difficult to say that what's here actually warrants the asking price. Fans of the series have grown accustomed to picking up their telephone and scrolling through social media when loading into games or swapping modes, so the quicker speeds are a nice treat. While playing on the Xbox Series X, I never had to wait longer than a couple of seconds to enter a game. Navigating throughout the MyCareer menu, hitting continue, and immediately being put on the court felt just like magic.Overall, the load rates of the next-gen consoles create 2K21 a better experience. Even loading into the match's online modes, which have been notoriously slow in the past.
NBA 2K21's graphics get a facelift in Buy 2K MT its next-gen version. The lighting is better, along with the faces look much more lifelike. A few of the personalities in cutscenes still seem a little rough, but the players themselves look better than ever.As far as mechanics, 2K21 doesn't reinvent the wheel using its next-gen edition. However, the developers used this chance to bring some more unique animations into the game. Including some new animations for alley-oops, that can be extremely satisfying to pull away. Additionally, I felt like dribbling and ball motion were only smoother overall when playing Xbox Series X.
